Greenway-Chaplin Community Centre is looking for high school age volunteers to assist staff in running recreation program activities.

Responsibilities include:
-Preparing, setting up and putting away activity equipment
-Helping to run small and large group games
-Explaining games and encouraging children to get involved
-Creating a positive, fun and encouraging environment for children in programs
-Alerting staff of safety concerns and hazards (spills, tripping hazards, sweeps at parks)
-Role modeling to children in programs how to listen to staff, follow rules, play safely and cooperatively
-Partnering with kids, helping them to complete crafts/games
-Taking initiative to help staff and children at programs
-Sanitizing and cleaning up spaces as required
-Other duties as assigned by staff

Volunteers report to the Recreation Coordinator. A vulnerable sector check is required for volunteers over the age of 18.
